I began working as a freelance writer in 1998, after having been contracted by Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine to write a few product reviews for the magazine. After receiving a tip from a friend regarding a publisher that was looking for authors, I decided to contact them to discuss any open opportunities they had. I had plenty of experience writing lengthy research papers from college, where I studied history and psychology, and figured I could handle writing book chapters fairly well. I've authored eight books, though I am now on hiatus from authoring tech books for at least the time I am in seminary working on my master's degree. I've also done tech editing on a number titles. Books • Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Training Kit • Implementing and Administering a Windows 2003 Server Active
Directory • Exchange 2000 Administration Exam Cram My initial contact with Coriolis brought a couple of projects, the first of which was writing the practice exams for the A+ Exam Prep book they had in the works. A couple of months later I tech edited the A+ Exam Cram. By 1999 I had started writing books for Coriolis, but I still did tech editing from time to time. Books I tech edited include: • The
Ultimate Repairing and Upgrading Your PC Little Black Book I also tech edited the "core four" practice exams product Coriolis released, which included content from each of the four core Windows 2000 certification exams.
