Some additional duties and projects: o Managed a staff of IT professionals (full-time, part-time, and contract) o Created and headed an MIS Task Force, a group made up of MIS and business unit managers with the focus on leveraging technology to create more efficient and ultimately more profitable business processes. Duties involved end user support and installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the hardware and software for the BCBSTX campus. Also provided phone support as needed to remote locations in around the state. Projects included helping setup the corporate intranet on IIS 3.0 and Index Server, and working with LAN administrators in setting up and configuring Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0 servers.
